Memorable moment: I played with The Dazz Band in 1993 at Cajun Field in Lafayette, LA when their drummer missed his flight. I was so excited, but I was also terrified !!! I had been a fan since I was a little kid. I remember jamming at the skating rink to Let it Whip and Joystick. These guys are legends....And I got to play with them!!! I was still young and somewhat inexperienced as far as gigging on a major level was concerned. I was just some local kid who was doing a sound check with a cover band when they came up and asked me if I could do their set with them. That was one the greatest moments that I have ever experienced as a young drummer. The Dazz Band, in front of 15,000 people, and I was on stage behind the drumkit with them. I was blown away at how nice and humble they were. It was really great and gave me that much more respect for them. It was also cool because my older brother, who taught me how to play drums, was there and he was just as excited as I was at what he had just witnessed. This one will always stick out as a defining moment for my drumming.
